Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

         "DARE TO DREAM, BECAUSE EACH ONE OF YOU HAS THE POWER TO TURN YOUR DREAM INTO REALITY"- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
    Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. A devout muslim and son of a boat owner became 11th president of India on July 18 2002. He was Country's first bachelor President whose flowing grey hair is seen as being at odds with what Indians thought a President ought to look like,he was one among the most respected people of the country who contributed immensely both as a Scientist and as a President. He dreamt of new India with his many vision statements, he also encouraged students to dream- dream big.

        Kalam was known for his unique interactive skills, he always wanted to involve students in his speeches and lectures. He would often ask students to write to him and he did not fail to reply to many messages that he got. He motivated Indian youth to have vision. He often shared his views about his vision on where India should be by 2020.

         India was one of the youngest nation in the world. Kalam truly believed only the young minds of India could made a real change in India. He concentrated in defining his vision among all the Student and youth he met.
        "Those who cannot work with their hearts achieve but a hollow, half-hearted success that  breeds bitterness all around". - A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
        Abdul kalam was called as "THE MISSILE MAN OF INDIA". He was given Padma Bhusan in 1981 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1990 for his works with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) and DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) and his role as a scientific advisor to the government of India. 
          "I never used any outside influence to advance my career. All I had was the inner urge to seek more within myself. The key to my motivation has always been to look at how far I had still to go rather than how far I had come"- A.P.J Abdul Kalam
          Abdul Kalam would always be liked to remembered as TEACHER. Even after he became president of India in 2002 he never compromised with teaching. He grabbed all the opportunities he got to teach, especially Young Students.
 “If the people remember me as a good teacher, that will be the biggest honour for me.” - A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
         Even at his end he was teaching at Indian Institute of Technology, Shillong.  He left the world by doing a thing which he always loved to do.
